Giving a hand painted portrait is the ultimate gift of the heart. It is not an everyday thing you do and with the special gift one gets a treasure that will last a lifetime.

With the holidays just coming up soon, you'll want to be sure to put your order in now. I do most of my portraits during the winter months leading up to the holidays.

A Lasting Memory

rembrandt

Even though it won't be as old as this Rembrandt, it should last just as long!

The final varnish is high quality Damar linseed oil varnish which has been used for hundreds of years.

I have done portraits for over 40 years and they all are just as good a shape now as when I painted them years ago.

The cotton canvas is of high quality as well , so your investment will be around for a long long time.

How I do my portraits.

I work with the computer to make hand painted portraits, and blend this process with the traditional oil portraits. YES, I am a real artist, and have been painting on canvas with oils, acrylics and watercolors for over thirty years.
The experiences gained from these disciplines is what I draw from in using the computer in my digital hand painted portraits.

The tools I use are a Wacom Tablet and Sylus to actually "paint" in pixels on a digital canvas. The techniques I have developed rivals any that I have learned on the real world media in the past.finalTouches

Once the digital painting is complete and transfered to canvas, I go over the entire painting and add oils where needed, then give a gloss varnish to finish and protect the portrait for years to come.

How long does it take?

If you want to give a portrait as a gift, you can expect to see it in your mail in about thee to four weeks.mailing tubes

Many "internet artists" sell their work in a couple of days... this is not what I do. My work is professionally represented by years of experience and dedication to excellence. I work from your photograph, and if what I receive from you is not of the standard required to to a quality portrait, I often ask for another picture to work from.

At best, this provides you with the assurance that you know you will receive a "masterpiece" when I am done. I don't rush through this process just to make a buck, I love what I do and I think it shows in every painting I do.

How to Order Your Portrait Begins Here...

The process is quite simple. Send me an email with a photograph attached (under 2mg) for me to evaluate. I will reply by email to your image and let you know if it is good for me to work from, and if so, you can send payment by using the PayPal link in the email I will send to you.

You have the option of having me stretch the canvas, which is an additional fee, or having it mailed to you rolled in a mailing tube, which you can have your framing store finish and frame for you.

The price of each portrait is determined by size and number of subjects in the painting, from $350.00 and up.

My work is guaranteed to please. When you receive a proof by email of what the final portrait will look like, if you are not pleased with the results, your full payment will be refunded to you. After the approval of the proof, no refunds will be allowed.

If you would like to speak with me personally about any upcoming work, please email me with your contact phone number, and I will be happy to call you back.
